The Artwork of Aldo Prado

Aldo Prado was born on Septiembre 15, 1966 in the City of Havana, Cuba where also received his education. He is a self-taught visual artist. A graduate of Instituto Superior Pedagogico Enrique Jose Varona, his academic studies are in Education with majors in History and Philosophy.

He has completed 6 postgraduate courses in History, and 2 in Philosophy. From an early age, Aldo has been a visual artist, participanting in national and international artistic and cultural exhibitions.

When he was 10 years old he received his first national award granted by the Rene Portocarrero, the prestigious Cuban visual artist.

Participated as a judge in a competition of Plastic Art with The Junior League of Austin, Inc. Hispanic Mother-Daugther, " Soy Unica, soy latina Rally, in april 2004 and 2005.

In addition to his artistic endeavors, Aldo is also a poet, who as a political exile has resided in The United States since 1995.
